And as every year, another International Student Exchange programme gets under way. Here we see IKER on his arrival in Houston, where his host family was waiting for him with enthusiasm. With that same enthusiasm we welcome ANNAMARIA to Tenerife from Germany. Everything is rigorously organised by our fellow members on the Exchange committee chaired by Mariví Gracia. This is one of the most interesting programmes from a social, cultural and peace-building perspective that Rotary has been developing around the world for decades. The selected young people travel to the chosen country and are welcomed by a host family. The same applies to those we receive. In both cases the host families have had to pass training and will always look after the safety of the young people they host, with close supervision from the local Rotary club. Families interested in putting forward one of their children for the next academic year 2025/2026 should pay attention.
