To mark the 41st anniversary of the club's foundation, and in cooperation with Vilaflor Council, the VILAFLOR ROTARY FOREST has been inaugurated, in line with Rotary International's environmental guidelines. The event consisted of the club purchasing 41 native trees that were planted by members and their families and companions following a technical and awareness talk given to all present by president Carmen Nieves Rodríguez Fraga, the Mayor of Vilaflor Agustina Beltrán Cano, MP Manuel Fumero and the technicians responsible for the Productive Park. The VILAFLOR ROTARY FOREST is intended to be a symbol of the environmental commitment of Rotarians in the south of Tenerife, where each year, symbolically, a new tree will be planted to coincide with an awareness event.
