In our Rotary year During my year as president, the following activities were carried out: Visit to the Control Tower of Reina Sofía Airport. Setting up stalls during the Autumn Festivals of Arona and Adeje, with the collaboration of Rotarians and suppliers who contributed some 350,000 pesetas. First contact with the "Perenquén" Association, for children with disabilities in Playa San Juan, to support them in their work, as they barely received financial support from Guía de Isora Council. Second contact, visit and presentation at the Rotary Club of Viveros Las Rosas in Arona (children with disabilities helped by former drug-dependent young people), supporting them in obtaining furniture for a training classroom. Collection of household goods and clothing for the Brothers of the White Cross. Contacts with the parish priest of El Fraile for him to join the Rotary Club; although authorisation was not finally obtained, joint clothing collection actions were carried out for those most in need. Support for our colleague Horacio Solari in his Aid Campaigns for the Saharawi people in Tindouf. Several outings. 15 speakers who contributed very interesting topics and debates for the Club throughout the year. We organised a Golf Tournament that contributed almost 3 million pesetas to the Club's solidarity projects. *All thanks to the unconditional collaboration of many Rotarians.
