On 25 May 2021, Marisol Carrillo, Governor of Rotary District 2201, visited the Rotary Club of South Tenerife. During her visit she was able to see the Solidarity Food Bank, one of the club's main projects. It so happened that at that moment, to the surprise of most of those present, the President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, also appeared, accompanied by a large group from his government. Both Marisol Carrillo, who was accompanied by her district delegate Virginia Carballude, and the president of RC Tenerife Sur, Juan Diego Mayordomo, took the opportunity to explain to Ángel Víctor Torres the importance of the Rotarians' work; the President of the Government replied that he was aware of it and well informed.
After the visit to the food bank, the club meeting was held, where president Juan Diego Mayordomo, also accompanied by the deputy mayor of Adeje, Manuel Luis Méndez, outlined to Marisol Carrillo the club's lines of action and the projects being developed. The Governor praised the club's work and concluded that Rotary Club Tenerife Sur is a model club, encouraging them to continue in the same vein.
Pins were then presented to the new Rotarians: Carmen Nieves Rodríguez Fraga, Santiago Sierra and Antonio García. Pins were also presented to the Rotaract members, and the plaque for the new Rotaract Club of South Tenerife was presented to its president, Eric Viana.
