A masterly astronomy talk by José Antonio Paris Fraga entitled «Astronomy for earthlings who are not in the know», in which we were able to discover in a very educational way the vastness of the scale, distances and age of our Milky Way and the incredible advances in the study and understanding of everything around us. To do this Paris Fraga asked us to TURN OFF THE LIGHTS, the more the better, and he ended his talk by saying that «it is impossible for there not to be life out there» – though perhaps very different from ours.
